Boulevard 469 is a do-it-yourself lifestyle blog designed to keep track of all the projects on my "to-do" list that have yet to be created and to share the inspiration that makes them all possible.

 

I’m Amy and that’s my husband Steve. We live in a suburb outside of Chicago with our little pup Oliver. Don't worry, you'll meet him later! The two of us have many things in common: we both went to Elmhurst College, work in finance, have 1 sibling, and drum roll please .... share a birthday! We got married a little over a year ago on 9.10.11 and the majority of our wedding was DIY (check it out here).  We love to think outside of the box and use our creativity to transform everyday objects into something special.  Many of the designs that we work on together help to transform our house into the cozy little place we call home.

Speaking of our home, we should probably tell you a little bit about it. We bought our first house 3 years ago and armed with a free contractor (shout out to my dad!) we have been DIYing our way through our old 1950s ranch. However, after 3 long years, he’s finally on strike and now it’s up to Steve and I to finish tying up all the loose ends. We’ll be documenting our journey on here as well as sharing other DIY projects and thrifty finds that come along.  So grab a cup of coffee (Starbucks please!), sit back, relax, and enjoy the show!
